Horses!

Hello, Freinds!
Horses are my favorite animal. I love them so much. I don't own one of my own, but every week I take lessons at a nearby stable. I usually rode a horse named Gravel, but he injured his leg in a competition and had to retire. His leg is fine now and he is doing great, but the people at the stable said he needs more time to recover. If any pressure gets but on his back and his leg isn't really fully healed he could break it all over again. But we don't want him to get lazy so we make sure to give him plenty of exercises.
Red is where he was injured. Green is where you should be careful around every horse. Grey is where the tack goes. Black is pressure.

The horse I ride now is Blanche (Bluh-sh) which means white in french. She is 5 years old and is a retired jumper. She is a pure breed quarter horse mare. She is so beautiful! She was actually born on a farm, but then a guy bought her for his daughter and hired a trainer to train her to jump. His daughter won about 20 shows. Since the price had gone up on the horse they decided to sell her and get a better horse. So the stables bought her because she was so gentle and would be perfect for lessons. So now I ride her. She is super sweet and kind. Yes, horses can be kind! She absolutely loves apples! And the stable dog is probably her best friend! She has well built sturdy legs and a long silky mane!
Did you know horses can smell fear? I'm pretty sure Blanche smelled mine because a was a nervous wreck when I first rode her! I'm pretty sure I didn't brush her hard enough. When I first saw her she was amazing. Like a dream! Then anxiety kicked in, " What if she is trained so well and I ride her the wrong way, and I mess her all up and then she bucks me off and I break my back and then I can't ride her anymore and she hurts herself by bucking me off and runs off and she gets hit by a car?????!" By then I had gotten up to her and let her sniff me, she went bonkers! I realized I had to calm down, and after I did she was fine. She was great for the first time, and I'm so glad I get to ride her!!
